# Brevo Starter Plan Annual Bill Through The Roof

My next bill for Brevo Starter (40k) email per month (that’s a limit, I don’t usually reach that), is over £450.

Considering Twilio Sendgrid charge $19.95 per month for 50k emails, and Turbo SMTP charge $199 for a year at 50k per month, I’m struggling to understand why the starter plan is so expensive.

Is there a cheaper option on Brevo where I can just send transactional emails and not need to have AI and conversation stuff in my account?

I understand your question. The price of a Brevo subscription can depend on several factors, including the plan, billing cycle, and features included in the subscription.

If your main need is transactional email sending and you do not need the additional features included in the Starter plan, there may be other options depending on your specific sending requirements.

Unfortunately I have been unable to resolve through support. I was advised that because I had a black Friday deal for new users (£100 off) I wouldn’t be eligible for the same again.

Even with the £100 off the annual price would have been over £350 (£29 per month, Vs £37 per month)

I am now using Sendgrid at less than £20 per month - for 10,000 more emails per month.

It would be great if Brevo could look at this pricing model in the future. Id rather consolidate my sms and email in one place and have always been happy with Brevo…
