# Testing Brevo SMTP using Linux telnet

Hi, I am trying to test Brevo SMTP using Linux telnet utility, using my username (==email address) and my SMTP key «&nbsp;Master Password&nbsp;».  
I tried AUTH LOGIN and AUTH PLAIN without any success.  
Any hints ?

telnet smtp-relay.brevo.com 587
...

```
