Checkbox subscription issue on Form (re-posting as no one answered)

Hi, I’m having an issue with a form I created. It includes a checkbox where users can choose to receive my newsletter in one or both of two languages.

However, when someone selects only one language, they are automatically subscribed to both.

Why is this happening, and how can I fix it? Thank you!

I have no experience with Brevo Forms, but maybe you can use an Automation to solve this problem?

Example:

  1. The form saves checkbox values into profile of contact
  2. An automation checks using a segment or filter criteria if a user has value 1 or 2, and then you subscribe the user to the correct newsletter
