Single opt-in New subscriber

Hello,

I currently use an other autoresponder, but I would like to migrate to Brevo.

I currently have active lead generation campaigns on fb with an automatic form managed by fb, through integration with « MAKE.com » I import the contacts into my list and the automation of the email funnel starts. The new contacts, after filling out the form on facebook are automatically added to my list, without sending them a confirmation message.

Is it possible to manage this with Brevo?

That is, I do NOT want there to be double opt-in.

To do all this, what is the right plan for me?

Thanks

Frank

Hi Frank ,
Brevo typically defaults to double opt-in to ensure compliance with anti-spam laws, but you can switch to single opt-in easily. Here’s how:

  1. Disable Double Opt-In:
  • Go to the “Contacts” section of your Brevo dashboard.
  • Click on “Forms” or “Contacts settings” where your subscription settings are managed.
  • For each form, you should see an option for “Double Opt-In.” Make sure to turn this off, so subscribers don’t get the confirmation email.
  1. Use a Single Opt-In Automation:
  • You can set up an automation workflow that adds the new subscribers to your contact list directly without the need for confirmation. Make sure the trigger is based on when someone submits the form.
  1. Compliance:
  • Keep in mind that switching to single opt-in may impact your compliance depending on your region’s email laws (like GDPR). You may need to ensure your list remains clean and up-to-date with regular list hygiene to avoid spam complaints.

Test this setup, and if it still doesn’t work or you run into any snags, feel free to reach out, and I’ll walk you through any other adjustments you might need to make!

Thank you Esther.

But, I use an external form, the automatic form of facebook.

in this case how can I do?

Here’s a workaround you can try:

  1. Integrate the Facebook Form with Brevo:
If you haven’t already, make sure the Facebook form is connected to Brevo using an API or Zapier. This will allow you to automatically add new leads from Facebook into your Brevo contact list.
  2. Automation Without Confirmation:
Since the form is external, Brevo will automatically skip the double opt-in process. Once the lead enters your Brevo system through the Facebook form, they should be added directly to your list without needing to confirm their email. However, double-check that you don’t have any internal settings within Brevo (like specific automations) that require a confirmation step. Go to your automation settings and make sure there isn’t a confirmation step being triggered by mistake.
  3. List Hygiene:
Since you’re using single opt-in via Facebook, remember that you’ll need to regularly clean your list by removing inactive or invalid emails. This will prevent deliverability issues.

Try this out, and let me know if it solves the issue! If you’re still having trouble connecting the dots between Facebook and Brevo, I can guide you through it.

Dear Esther,
you are a sweetheart. thanks again for the help you are giving me.

I use make.com for the integration and it should be set up well.

I just test it and works.

THANKS
