If an SMS fails, say because it was a landline, is that noted somewhere? Is that phone number automatically blocklisted? Tagged in some way? I hope to hear a reply from the Brevo team.
Hi @appcrazee thanks for reaching out! Our system will differentiate according to either the LANDLINE, SMS or WHATSAPP contact attributes. However, if there’s a landline number in the SMS field, and SMS fails, we automatically blocklist phone numbers that hard bounced to prevent you from sending them SMS in the future. This means that it is not possible to try resending the SMS as the error is permanent and the contact is blocklisted. This allows you to maintain a clean contact list and get the best results for your next sendings. Depending on the country, some landlines send voicemails with a voice SMS. I hope this clarifies.
