Automation trigger "Contact is in a Segment" is not working

Hi there - I’m new to Brevo and just started working with Automations.

I have set up an Automation where the first step is the trigger « Contact is In a Segment » and I’m testing it on a single contact where I have access to the email account.

The trigger is not functioning; the contact does not enter the automation. The first two actions are immediate (change the attribute that includes the contact in the trigger segment and send an email) so if it was working I would immediately see it.

I have gone through the basic troubleshooting steps

  • Checked the contact is definitely in the « trigger » segment
  • Checked the timing of the trigger is correct
  • Checked the automation is Active

Is there anything else I should be checking? Any help much appreciated!

UPDATE and Problem Solved!

I was using a contact which had already been through this automation, during previous tests.

In the automation Settings « Allow Contact Re-Entry After Exit » was deactivated. Therefore the automation was refusing to allow my contact to re-enter the automation process.

I re-activated « Allow Contact Re-Entry After Exit » and this solved the issue
