What happens to a bounced / bad email - for instance if it was mistyped or the person no longer has that email address? Thank you.
Hi @appcrazee ,
Usually it gets blocklisted. Then, if you want to edit it, for example because there is a typo, you can:
- edit the email
- manually un-blocklist it
- send an email again to this person
Here is an article that explains a lot about soft and hard bounced emails:
Thank you! Very helpful. I was unaware of that filter and I was able to surface a few emails on my list that had typos entered by the email owners.
Hi,
I have hard bounced emails in my list that were not blocklisted is it normal ?
I setup a automation that triggers a hard bounce test 5 days after the contact has been added (through a subscribe form). Is it a good practice ?

if your goal is to be sure the email address that your contact gave is the right one, you better use a double optin method, see this article: https://help.brevo.com/hc/en-us/articles/208733449-Double-opt-in-DOI-What-it-is-and-how-to-track-user-sign-ups
