Discount for WhatsApp subscribers

After a lead contact has filled out the registration form, he/she must confirm the registration in accordance with GDPR. The WhatsApp message has two quick reply buttons: ‘yes’ and ‘stop promotions’. The automation changes the DOI entry in the profile accordingly. So far, so good.

Now I would like to ask those who answer ‘yes’ three questions about their preferences. After each quick reply, the next question should be sent. Finally, the discount code with the link to the shop.

Which rule do you use for this in the new Brevo editor? Wait until conversation starts? Or wait until message is received? Or perhaps another option/further automation?

For the entry point (trigger) I would use “added to list”. This means that as soon as the contact fills out the registration form, they are saved to the list you have chosen when configuring your subscription form.

If you haven’t already, in your first template to confirm the sign-up with GDPR, ensure that you add a Marketing opt-out button in your WhatsApp template. If contacts opt out, contacts will be blocklisted for the WhatsApp channel, and therefore even though contacts will “move” through the automation, none of the WhatsApp templates will be sent.

Then, you can add multiple WhatsApp templates in the automation in the sequence you need, with the final template containing the discount code.
