How did I reach my SMPT credit limit (when I didn't)?

This is very alarming. I received an email saying that the credit limit for my Brevo SMPT account has been reached. But it hasn’t. Emails weren’t being sent or received.

How can it be reached when I’ve only sent 300 transational emails? My account allows for 20k transactional emails to be sent each month and I only sent 300. Even if I check the logs and counted every sent transactional email, open, delivery, etc. it still comes nowhere close to 20k. But yet my emails were backlogged and customers weren’t receive purchase confirmations.

I submitted a support ticket but unfortunately the response times are painfully long and I cannot afford to wait 24 hours for every response. In the meantime I purchased $32 in extra credits out of fear but I feel this wasn’t necessary.

I use Brevo SMPT through the WP Mail SMPT plugin on my WordPress site.

And all of my logs still show that I had 19,737 emails left. It’s very concerning because this has the potential to really hurt.

Am I missing something here?

Hi @metricsmule , thanks for posting on this community.

That’s weird indeed; was this solved by any chance? If not, I would advise to contact Brevo support: contact@brevo.com
