I am interested to choose open and click tracking by campaign, and to disable for some. How I do that?
@Brevo.research When will the disable link tracking feature will be available for non Enterprise users? Happy with Brevo but facing issues with link tracking: GDPR and slow response after clicking the link.
Same problem here…
Same answer from support.
We face huge problem with forced tracking, some Embbed content in our mail can’t be displayed correctly cause of the redirection applied.
Honestly looking atm if there is another provider that could correctly answer the need…
When you’re saying « Enterprise plans », does this also include the « Starter » and « Business » plans? As a small enterprise, I’m afraid we’d not be able to afford anything beyond that.
Hi!
Just to mention that you’ve lost a paying customer because of this. As a French company, we would have prefer work with you but this forced tracker added to email is a no go for us: trackers can negatively impact reputation or even simply block the entire message when working under a paranoiac firewall.
And more fundamentally, we respect our customer’s privacy, we don’t want to track them.
I really don’t understand the “security issue” motivating this tracker obligation. The other providers I bench-marked don’t have this obligation. Can you elaborate on this ? Note that I’m totally fine with not having advanced tracking statistics on my transactional emails.
Same as the user just above, we’re a French company and eager to use local solutions, however we cannot work with these modified links, nobody will click that (I know I won’t)
The lack of option is a deal breaker, the other services provide that option (Mailjet, Sendgrid etc) so I don’t understand the security issue either.
Hi there!
Thanks for your comments on this. The use of re-direction links helps us maintain the platform’s security and enables us to identify any potential compromises. I understand that this is causing some deliverability issues so I am raising this issue with our product teams. I’ll get back to you on this thread as soon as I have further news. Thanks!
Thank you Adam. The security argument is still unclear to me, what can exactly be compromised and how forcing a redirection is helping? Genuinely curious.
In our case fixing deliverability won’t help, our customers will not click a redirected link. This is a reputation issue. Maybe if the domain was a bit more legible it could help, but the best solution would be no redirection.
Hey @adam,
It is very frustrating that Brevo still refuses to provide any information about whether and when it will be possible to customize tracking links ( Why no custom domain for click tracking? - #12 par jns ) or completely disable tracking links.
These features are considered best practice among email service providers, and your competitors offer them as standard (not just for certain enterprise plans).
Please be honest and tell us whether these two features (disabling/customizing tracking links) are on your request list and what priority they have.
Perhaps it would help not to implement any unnecessary new CRM and AI features, but to focus on useful features in the email module that your users have requested.
Best regards
jonas
Dear Brevo, you are about to lose a paying customer. I’m very happy with Brevo, but this is a dealbreaker. There is nothing more frustrating than emails being blocked or flagged untrustworthy because of the way Brevo puts tracking pixels in every email. This is not something that should be enterprise-only. It should be available for everyone. I’m currently looking at other alternatives, maybe I’ll give Rapidmail a try.
Also the security argument doesn’t make sense to me. Why would you offer this to enterprise users if it’s less secure? Generally enterprise cares more about security, not less.
Totally understand you, Gurt. We’ve switched over to Mailjet and they provide the option even to the Free plan users.
Really hope that Brevo can turn this around eventually.
I agree with the request.
Brevo generates links like
: babfjbej.r.bh.d.sendibt3. com / oNXcUMs30xoIzrnJ2zmE3JfdKuMWZ…….
Nobody is going to click on something that looks like that. At least make it more readable like tracking.brevo. com
Because it makes sending email with the API unusable.
Really hope that Brevo can turn this around.
Hello
We are new Brevo customers and are generally happy with the product. But this peculiarity has surprised us greatly. Disabling tracking is a basic feature and is possible with competitors. We cannot use such links. The spam and reputation risk is too high. When we use them, they are extremely slow and ruin the user experience. Please provide us with an update as soon as possible:
- Will it be possible to remove tracking links completely?
- Can you add your own tracking domains?
How is that supposed to work? What if Brevo is compromised and sends fraudulent links? The email recipient who sees the link and clicks on it has no way of checking or recognizing this in advance.
These cryptic Brevo links are immediately suspicious and prevent conversions: https://hfrhp.r.a.d.sendibm1.com/mk/cl/f/sh/1f8qm…
This is a deal breaker in B2B. We are considering switching back to our old solution. We kindly request your prompt response.
@adam Is there any update. We use transactional mails, sending via the api. Emails about orders and approvals. More and more large organisations do not receive the mails or can not click on the links because of ‘organisation’ rules. Mails an links are blocked. We prefer to say with Brevo. Can we add some kind of code to the links so they are not converted to tracked links?
