Can I do a feature request for Automations - Notify by email?

When you have as trigger one of the following:

  • User in segment
  • User added to list
  • Contact falls within filters

And you add the action Notify by email:

Allow us to add the triggering contact’s attributes into the email and subject of the notification email.

My use case: Certain attributes cause a contact to be a « hot lead », I then would like a Deal to be created and Brevo Notify me about the contact, with inside the notification email the contact email address, and (custom) contact attributes. (A link to the deal would also be nice)

This use case doesn’t work since, you cannot add variables from above triggers to the Notify by email template, and in addition, you can’t copy any contact attributes to a deal (and then to the Notify by email template), since Update a deal and Create a deal does not allow such actions.

In fact, you are actually able to add contact attributes to the Notify by email template, but when I receive the email, it’s actually the attributes of me, my own contact, the person Brevo is set to notify, and not the contact that triggered the automation. Which is not useful.

I’d like to make another request about Email Templates and Automations:

  1. If you link in an Automation an email template: When you edit that template (while you are in Automations), it should update said template and not create a hidden duplicate. Very confusing behavior, had me stumped for a while – it seemed like Brevo had a bug that it didn’t save anything.
  2. If you edit a template in the Templates section, that should be reflected in the Automations using that template. Right now you need to open each automation, check if the template is used, delete it and re-add it, very cumbersome task. We had been updating our templates regularly, but apparently they where never updating the Automations, we lost months because of this.

Oh and I have this request too about Automations ( we are a power user of Brevo :wink: ):

Allow us to create a Company from Automations. Right now you can only update a Company (1 field at a time), but not Create.
