Problem or bug with trigger: Date in an attribute occurs

We are storing the date on which the trial of a contact ends as a custom parameter. We are running an automation, which should send an email to a customer 7 days before the date occurs.

But the automation starts not 7 days before the date occurs, but 7 days after the date occurs. Did anyone else experience this, is this a bug, or maybe only worded in a way that can be misunderstood and it is correct, that way?

Hi @janpeini , thanks for posting on this community.

Could you post a screenshot about what you’ve put in place, so that we understand what could be wrong?

Hello, I have seen the exact same behavior and now things are even more confusing. Are the developers updating things?!?

Because we noticed this opposite behavior, we coded our automations in the opposite way. But now it seems if I set it to « after », save and come back it has been updated to « before » and it is not triggering when it should.

Perhaps they fixed it and changed it for everybody who created an automation before? Our setup also changed from « after » to « before ». Just looked it up. Will have to check if it’s still working though.

Hi, I checked internally, and I confirm there were some changes on Brevo’s side, sorry for that.
There was a message sent to the users who had active automations. I guess that on your side it was not the case, that’s why you did not receive it. Sorry for the inconvenience, everything is back to normal now.
