Automatic unsubscribes of our own email addresses

Hi everyone,

We’ve recently noticed an issue where our own email addresses, which are part of our Brevo mailing lists, have been automatically unsubscribed. This was not done manually by any team member, and no unsubscribe links were clicked from our side.

We’d like to understand if this is a known behavior with Brevo. Are there any scenarios in which Brevo automatically unsubscribes email addresses from a mailing list? For example, could this happen due to:

  1. Bounced emails?
  2. Spam reports?
  3. Other automated processes within Brevo?

This is concerning for us as it affects the reliability of our lists and the communication with our audience.

Has anyone seen this occur as well? Could you please clarify why this might happen and how we can prevent it in the future?

Thank you in advance for your support!

Hi @socialroots ,

Thanks for posting on this community.

Yes, if an email bounces, it will be unsubscribed, and same if someone marks the email as spam. But I don’t think, at least I am not aware of Brevo automatically unsubscribing email addresses if that email address is correct and receives your communication.

Hi! Thanks for your reply. We have tested it and it unsubscribes random email addresses that work (our private addresses for instance). Any idea how this could happen?
