Brevo editor won’t paste plain text (nothing happens) + formatted paste breaks layout (tried multiple browsers)

Hi Brevo team,
I’m blocked by a copy/paste issue in the email editor.

  • When I try to paste plain text, nothing happens (no text is inserted).

  • When I paste formatted text, it does paste, but the formatting becomes completely broken and it’s not realistically fixable inside the editor.

I’ve tried stripping formatting via Notepad / Word / Google Sheets, and I also tested multiple browsers — same result.

Is this a known issue? Is there a reliable way to paste as plain text or avoid formatting corruption?

Good news — a fix for the paste behavior in the email editor has been deployed. You should now be able to paste both plain and formatted text without issues.

If you’re still seeing anything on your end, a couple of quick tips that can help: use Ctrl+Shift+V (or Cmd+Shift+Option+V on Mac) to paste as plain text, or paste into your browser address bar first to strip formatting, then re-copy and paste into the editor.
