Notification in automation does not fill subscriber details in email

I’ve set up a 2 birthday automations:

  1. being sent to the subscriber
  2. being sent to me a few days before

They both have the same logic:
X days before they send out an email, for 1) using the function « send email », and for 2) using « send a notification »

  1. is working fine, also using personalization in the email text
  2. is sending the mail, but not filling out the personal fields in the text
    I’ve also used the option « Use my event data to customize the notification », but it hasn’t helped.

Any ideas?

Found the solution myself:
There are different placeholders to be used, in the format:
{{params.contact.ATTRIBUTE}}
