Pause automation to add contacts to a list

I’d like to add contacts to a list, but NOT trigger the automation that is set up for that list. If I pause the automation, can I safely add contacts to the list, and then turn the automation back on. Easy question, but I want to be 100% sure I don’t email contacts mistakenly. Also, I wanted to say how much I enjoy Brevo and the recent improvements. PS: I am unable to add tags to my topics. None show up and it won’t allow us to create « optional tags. » THANK YOU

Hi Neil,

Yes it should work. If you want to be 100% sure / double check:

  • you put the automation on pause
  • you add yourself to the list
  • you verify that you don’t receive any emails
  • and then you add the rest of your contacts to the same list
  • once this is done, you activate the automation again
