Possibility to add multiple emails to contact

There are several similar posts but none really cover the topic: I think, using the email as a unique ID is not a good Idea. Contacts should be able to have multiple emails assigned to them like in hubspot or in any phone contacts app – they sometimes communicate from the private or secondary email, change company or teams etc. The CRM should be able to handle this and unify tracking of the interactions with this contact. In Hubspot you would be able to identify the primary email and add secondary. When merging to contacts, both emails are saved.

This feature is very much needed, having several emails added to one contact is a basic feature from any phone contact app or CRM, as @noelboss stated.
This would allow merging contacts for one person with 2 or 3 emails since people tend to use gmail connexion and professional emails for example, resulting in different contact being wrongly created.

I completely agree with @noelboss and @pierre344, this feature is needed. I’ve been experiencing similar issues where a contact is initially created using a masked email (from an affiliate) and later provides their actual email address. Additionally, many contacts have multiple email addresses, which complicates things further.

Recently, I encountered a problem where I updated a contact’s email address from the masked email to their real one. However, the Brevo tracker created a new contact with the masked email after the person opened an email sent to that address. This process feels messy and creates unnecessary challenges in managing contacts effectively.

Furthermore, the contact’s history gets fragmented, making it difficult to maintain a clear record of interactions. This creates inefficiencies in tracking the contact’s engagement, as key data like past email opens, clicks, and previous communications remain tied to the old, masked email.

This lack of continuity not only disrupts the flow of information but also leads to duplicate records, which can result in miscommunication and missed opportunities. For example, personalized follow-ups or targeted campaigns might fail because the complete history isn’t linked to the updated email address.

It would be much more effective if the system recognized updates to email addresses and merged the data seamlessly, ensuring all interaction history stays connected to the correct contact. Without this, managing relationships becomes unnecessarily complex and time-consuming.
