Hello! I am trying to find out if there is any way to have an automation to send the same email every month. This is a reminder email for a regular event
Hi @wf_brevo , thanks for posting on this community.
Yes you can: Automation for email campaign not opened - #14 par ahudavert
Create a segment of the people that should be receiving the email, and then create an automation that, every month, will send an email to the people of this segment.
Just don’t forget to check the box that will allow your contacts to enter the workflow multiple times.
Does this make sense? If not, tell me, I’ll give you screenshots.
Thank you for your help. I and my colleague have not been able to figure out how to create an automation that way. The only thing we were able to do was to copy the campaign several times and schedule each copy for the specific date. So I’d love your screenshots!
Sure, I can try to help you. At which step are you struggling? The segment creation of the automation itself?
I’m hoping to set up a recurring monthly email as well, and I don’t want it to be linked to/triggered by a previous email campaign. The idea is that the email would be sent on the last Thursday of every month, reminding the list segment about a specific program that airs every Friday. This way, instead of creating a new campaign every month using the same template, I could automate the campaign to go out on the same day and make any edits on one template.
I am trying to figure out a sequence that accomplishes this automation.
Hi @yashaswi , thanks for your question.
I am not sure that for the moment Brevo automation handles dates like « last Thursday of every month », but I’m looping in @Florent here, he’ll probably know better.
Hi @yashaswi it’s not working like this but we had similar requests in the past and we are reviewing this to confirm if we will add this option.
For now you could imagine a workaround like adding a time delay of 25 days after contacts enter. Even if the same contacts are allowed to re-enter after exit, they will be blocker from re-entering while they are waiting in the automation. And you could combine it with a limitation in sending times in your send an email step. It would land on the last Thursday of each month in most cases. Yet you would need to check the calendar because it can fail in some cases, depending on when last Thursdays happen exactly…
